Getting started & rates

How to get started with Next Step Therapy Barn.

Starting occupational therapy should be simple. Here's what to expect, how private pay works, and answers to the questions families ask most.

The process

Four steps to your child's first session

  1. 1

    A quick call

Call (404) 906-2939 or email. Tell me a little about your child and what you're noticing. I'll answer questions, share rates and talk through whether OT is a good fit.

  2. 2

    Evaluation

An initial evaluation at home, school or daycare. I observe, use play-based activities and standardized tools as appropriate, and learn about your child's strengths and challenges.

  3. 3

    A plan you understand

I walk you through what I found in plain language and agree on goals together, along with a recommended visit frequency.

  4. 4

    Regular visits

Ongoing sessions where your child's day happens, with strategies for you and teachers to use between visits and regular progress check-ins.

Rates

Private-pay occupational therapy

Next Step Therapy Barn is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. That means no waiting for insurance approvals, no annual visit limits, and therapy plans built around your child's goals instead of coverage rules. It's also what makes home, school and daycare visits possible.

Call (404) 906-2939 or email AmyReynoldsTherapy@gmail.com for current evaluation and session rates.

FAQ

Questions about getting started

How much does pediatric occupational therapy cost?

Next Step Therapy Barn is private pay. Call or email and I'll share current rates for the evaluation and ongoing sessions so you can plan with no surprises.

Why private pay instead of insurance?

Private pay means no waiting on insurance authorizations, no annual visit caps, and treatment plans built around your child's goals rather than coverage rules. Sessions can also happen at home, school or daycare, which insurance plans often don't cover.

Can I use insurance for out-of-network reimbursement?

Some families submit paperwork to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so ask your insurer about out-of-network occupational therapy benefits, and ask me what documentation I can provide.

How long until we can start?

There's no insurance authorization step to wait on. Call or email to check current availability in your area.

How long is each session?

Session length and frequency are set together during the evaluation, based on your child's goals and attention span. I'll walk you through the recommendation and why.
